Murphy
It’s almost official. We’re close to gaining another family member. This is not-so-little Murphy, a 7 year old Irish Setter currently living in Illinois. He was found through an Irish Setter rescue site: Save Our Setters
We’re awaiting final procedure and an ETA for our future furry friend. Reportedly, he’s in very good health, a genuine sweetie and, hopefully, a great new playmate for Piper as he grows ever-rambunctious.
Needless to say, please pray for us during this transition. :)
UPDATE: After working with the trainer for Piper, we discouraged from introducing an older dog into a house with a young pup while he was developing and being trained. So no more dogs for now.

Please give a warm welcome to the adorable, Piper. Piper is our new family member, a 6 week old golden retriever puppy. Just look at how adorable, go ahead, I’ll wait…
See? Cute to the max. We anxious to learn even more about ourselves while we adjust to this little furry bundle of joy. We’re sure to have many “Marley and Me”-esque stories to share.
Erica and I drove up to a breeder’s in Statesville, NC to pick him out of an adorable plethora of puppies. He flocked to Erica, so he basically picked us out, which from what I’ve heard is pretty much how it always goes.
We’ve got him home and prepared him a place to stay, so, let the games begin!
